The world of college recruiting is tough on everyone. Kids and parents trying to figure out the best fit for them, navigating the labrynth of information and mis-information out there. College coaches working hard to coach their current teams, while worrying about their future teams - and all the while struggling with limited budgets and recruiting resources. We understand the excitement, joy and frustrations for each side of the equation. That's why, at Lexington Christian Academy, we strive to bridge the gap to help our families understand the process through our "Next Steps" program. Filled with the latest information, advice and counsel, "Next Steps" makes LCA families better prepared for the process.
So you may ask yourself, why should I recruit a young person from LCA? We think there are many reasons:
- LCA athletics administration is committed to being a one-stop communication source for coaches about ANY student-athlete at the school. We want to make it easy on you, the coach. Call Director of Athletics Terry Johnson on his direct line at (859) 422-5766. You will either reach him or receive a call back within 24 hours.
- LCA student-athletes are in programs that teach and stress respect, Christ-centeredness, sportsmanship, dedication and competitiveness. Our kids leave our campus knowing what it takes to work, compete and win.
- LCA coaches have won state championships, coached and played in college and are held to the highest standards on the field and off. They know what it takes to play at the "next level" and it is stressed to them that part of their job is to prepare their players for the next step of their lives, on the field and off.
- LCA student-athletes are put through a rigorous academic schedule. When LCA students leave the campus they are well prepared to thrive in their college academic work because they have learned how to balance academics with the rigors of playing sports at LCA.
