Tuesday morning a group of elementary Dads and their children went to "Donuts with Dads" hosted by Strength and Conditioning Coach, Brian Ray. This event was held in the Tates Creek Campus lunchroom, and it featured three LCA alum; Zach West '11, Sam Wier '11, and Jerry Asberry '12. All three alums are now police officers that serve with the Lexington Police department and protect our communites. All of us here at LCA are proud of them and are praying for them as they risk their lives to keep all of us safe. This was a great event for Dads and their sons and daughters to spend a little bit of extra time together, eat donuts, and get to hear from outstanding God fearing men. Anytime you mix Dads and donuts, good things happen!
Ephesians 6:1-4, "Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord."
