Girls Golf Wins First-Ever All A State Championship; Frye Wins Individual Title

The girls golf team had a magical weekend at the All A State Championship. Not only did they have the individual champion, but they also brought home the first-ever Girls Golf All A State Championship in program history!

The girls traveled to Bronston, KY to play Woodson Bend G.C. Grabbing the first five tee times of the morning on the front side, LCA grabbed control early and cruised to a 9-stroke victory. This young team, whose oldest player is a sophomore, is getting stronger every week for head coach B Frye, in only his second year at the helm of the program.

Sophomore Laney Frye, who won the indidivual state title, led the way, shooting a 71. Frye was followed by fellow sophomores Emily Sparks (84), Sarah Harper (89), 8th grader Mary Keene Marrs (96) and freshman MacKenzie Newman (112).
