Lax Gets First "W" for Coach McCoun
Last night the LCA Lacrosse team played their first home game of the season and put together their best effort. They got their first win on the season, which also gave new head coach Taylor McCoun his first win as head coach of the Eagles. They defeated Woodford County 15-13 in an exciting, well-played game.

Dawson Baldridge, Jackson Thompkins, Chase Sacca and Braxton Settles were among the offensive stars for the Eagles, while freshman goalie Andrew Sorrell played well behind a tough defense.

"Tonight was a game we can build on," stated McCoun. "We have had spurts early in the season where are guys are starting to click and tonight alot of thast came together."

The Eagles took command of the game early in the 3rd quarter and kept a 2-3 goal lead for most of the second half. But as it got very close, Sorrell made a save and quickly made an outlet pass to Thompkins who it took it the distance for a fast break score that cemented the victory with a little over a minute to go.
